Summertime

Stormy sky with some wind tossing the silver sage around but my red sage is smilin, yellow roses bloomin, cactus buds out, and temps up to the 80s. No one in these parts moans about rain. Unless we golf. Which Monday and Tuesday we did with enthusiasm if not with aplomb. Last of the season competition for our club and I will miss my buddies of the green and the guys in the pro shop who put up with us. Such fun and so many laughs we have had. At our age or any age, you have to giggle as your best intentions end up in disaster. On a 3 par hole my partner got 22. Unbelievable until you lose your cool and the club reflects your every twinge and anxious stab to get out of a horrible situation. What is the relief? None from the rules. In a tournie you just have to keep trying. Again and Again. You laugh! You show ultimate courage and show up to play again another day. You get respect and understanding from your golfing buddies because there but for the grace of the golf gods go I. You gotta love it!
